What is it?

Vanilla is the most widely used flavoring in chocolates, pastries, confections, and other desserts. Vanilla is the fruit of a green orchid vine. It has green pods which contain vanilla beans. Vanilla Powder is made by grinding whole dried vanilla beans until powdery. The advantage to vanilla powder is it can be added to warm liquids and the vanilla flavor will not evaporate as it does with extracts. Our vanilla bean powder is raw, pure and organic.

How to use?

• Blend this powder into a latte, coffee, or hot cocoa for a wonderful flavor and vanilla aroma.
• Stir some into butter, with a spoonful of maple syrup for a delicious and scented breakfast spread aka compound butter.
• Add some to your next batch of curd, from lemon to orange…and even coconut milk and lime.
• Sprinkle some in olive oil, along with a pinch of red chili pepper and serve as a simple dip with bread.
• Of course, you can make on-the-fly vanilla sugar and salt, without waiting weeks to infuse with flavour via dried up pods.
