Product Description
What is it?
Unlike true ginseng, siberian ginseng is not a stimulant or sexual enhancer. But like ginseng, siberian ginseng must be taken regularly over a period of weeks or months in order to have an effect. Siberian Ginseng, or Eleuthero, is a wonderful tonic herb of the highest order. It has been used for centuries as a powerful adaptogen, combating the first signs of stress, fatigue and signs of adrenal weakness whilst sustaining long-term energy and wellbeing.
When you think of stress, it is something that is unavoidable. However, long term stress can cause a lot of problems(sleep problems, anxiety, inflammation etc). Eleuthero is an important herb to help prevent and recover from the damaging effects of stress.
Eleuthero has been used for thousands of years in Russia and China to help the body to adapt to changes and challenging situations. It is very mild (not stimulating) and therefore can be taken both day and night.
How to use?
Healthy people taking 1/4 teaspoon three times daily have been shown to have increased numbers of the immune cells.
Use for children should be limited to 2 consecutive weeks.
Adult: Dosage levels for the Siberian ginseng vary from one person to the other, normally it is about 2-3 grams (1/2-1 teaspoon) every day. The ideal and traditional dosage level for the siberian ginseng extract is a regular dose of the herb for a period lasting six to eight weeks at a stretch; these periods of dosage are punctuated by breaks lasting one to two weeks break following which the dosage can be started again.
To increase stamina or resistance to stress, the dosage recommended above can be taken for one month on and one month off. For chronic conditions such as fatigue, Siberian ginseng can be taken for three months, followed by 2 to 3 weeks off. These cycles can be repeated, but this should be done under the supervision of a healthcare provider.

Health benefits
Siberian Ginseng contains remarkable compounds, Eleutherosides, which stimulates mental and physical vigor. Numerous scientific publications on Siberian Ginseng have demonstrated anti-fatigue effects, improved stamina and performance, increased alertness and learning ability. Most of these have been confirmed in human trials. Siberian Ginseng has been a popular self-medication among people who are undergoing convalescence, under excessive stress or strain, overworked, weakened by chronic illness, and those who need to achieve peak physical and mental performance. There are also a considerable number of reports indicating its support for the immune system, restoration of abnormally low blood pressure, improvement in the circulation system, normalization of disturbances in sugar and fat metabolism, anabolic effects in the liver, testes, bone marrow and other vital organs.
- Prevent Stress-related Illnesses.
Siberian ginseng contains eleutherosides that favorably affect the adrenal glands, the small glands that rest atop the kidneys and secrete stress-fighting hormones. Taking the herb is believed to boost the body’s capacity to handle physical stresses ranging from heat exposure to extreme exertion. Resistance to disease increases as well. So does one’s overall energy level.
- Combat Fatigue and Restore Energy.
Eleutherosides has been shown to enhance mental acuity and physical endurance without the letdown that comes with caffeinated products.5 Research has shown that eleutherosides improves the use of oxygen by the exercising muscle.6 This means that a person is able to maintain aerobic exercise longer and recover from workouts more quickly. Preliminary research from Russia indicates it may be effective for this purpose.
- Stimulate Body’s Immunity
Siberian ginseng extract was shown to stimulate cellular immunity. It was found to stimulate T-cell production, especially helper cells. Thus Siberian ginseng is touted for numerous immune-related disorders. German scientists have found that this herb may be useful for treatment in the early stages of AIDS. It is found to retard the spread of the virus by a synergistic action of the elevated numbers of both helper and cytotoxic T cells.
